To make it better for you and your clients, the Electradrop with Fail Open feature is a solution for these situations. The newest version of our electrical drop bolt Electradop is a motorized stainless steel drop bolt with a 120 mm throw in the ground and more than 1.000 kg holding force. This strong solution disburdens the motor and makes sure the wings stay in place. The internal battery set offers an emergency exit functionality, automatically lifting the drop bolt in case of power shortage. We have also updated the Electradrop with several features to make the installation process easier. The signal and power wires have no polarity, which makes the wiring process safe and straightforward. There is also no need for an external relay if the flashlight input signal meets 12 to 24 AC or DC. Best to be combined with our POWERSTONE power supply. In specific situations, the newest version of the Electradrop can also be installed horizontally. FAIL OPEN VS FAIL CLOSE So when do you need Fail Open or Fail Close? Fail Open means that the device responsible for controlling the passage automatically opens when there is a loss of signal. In relation to the Electradrop, this feature is a specific solution for collective housing and buildings. In case of an emergency or power failure, the integrated battery automatically lifts the drop bolt. This offers an emergency exit for the people inside as well as guaranteed access to the perimeter for services such as the fire brigade or paramedics. The opposite Fail Close refers to the system that automatically closes the passage device when the signal is lost. This version of Electradrop closes, or keeps the drop bolt closed, during power shortage. This solution specifically suits residential situations. EXTRA SECURITY THANKS TO AN EXTERNAL RELAY For the next step in access control, there is now a completely vandal proof Locinox solution thanks to a small plug-and-play network of several products. The combination of a keypad, an external relay and power supply, eliminates the risk of potential intruders tampering with the access control to open the gate. The SLIMSTONE-X is our newest durable, frost-free and watertight electronic keypad that can be connected to the SWITCHSTONE- STD with a simple 2-wire cable. Installed in a safe place inside the secured perimeter, the relay is completely out of reach for intruders. Also attached to the long-distance cable is the POWERSTONE, a high-quality 60 W switching-mode power supply. It powers both the keypad as well as its external relay. After a plug-and-play installation, the POWERSTONE is the power supply with an integrated overload indicator.
