With the launch of Fiftylock and Sixtylock insert locks, we saw new opportunities to optimize the Fortylock to make sure all three are as equal as possible.

Thinner body

The body of the improved Fortylock is smaller: 21 mm wide instead of 23 mm. This smaller body allows for an easier and more aesthetic integration in the gate profile. However, the frontplate is as wide as before (28 mm). With the new Fortylock, a small adapter is supplied which covers the 2 mm difference in width (22 vs 24 mm) for the gate manufacturers who prepare their gates in advance for efficiency reasons.

Those who don’t prepare their gates in advance can easily remove the orange adapter.

Easier left/right adjustability

The updated Fortylock offers the same easy left/right adjustability of the day pen as with Fiftylock and Sixtylock. Just remove the frontplate and turn the day pen 180°. Timing

The new Fortylock will replace the current version. The current version of the Fortylock will be sold till we’re out of stock. We estimate the new version will be implemented in January 2020. Do get in touch with us if you have further questions on this matter.
